Winery Harvest 2002
It's mid-September and harvest is finally in full swing. We say finally because as of right now we are about a full month later than last year. First in this year was Chardonay. The fruit looked excellent, the numbers were perfect and it is fermenting as I write. We have also received Syrah for the first time from a grower we have been working with for anumber of years on other varietals. The fruit was flawless and the resulting juice was as dark as any I have ever seen. If the grapes we have already received are any indicatgor of the overall quality of this years' harvest, look for the harvest of 2002 to be a fantastic one! Yet to come are more Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel and likely last, Viognier. Stop by the tasting room for updates on this years harvest. Check
